TangoRail incorporating the HD Post System
Before commencing Installation, check that you have all components, including:-
- Panels
- Posts
- Fishplates
- Bags of fixings
- Sag tubes. (Only if the product is bow top and for TR300 TangoRail with finials)
- Corner Fishplates (For right angle corners only)
Observe the terrain over which the fence is to be fitted. Post tops should flow gently over the ground.
- Install the first (end) post, plumb, backfill and ram well.
- Install a peg, or temporary post at the other end of the fence line and attach your line. It is a good idea to attach your line at the same position as the bottom hole punched in the post. This will provide a marker at which to locate other posts along the fence line, there by ensuring all fence posts will be level. Don’t forget to take in to account undulations in the ground.
- Locate fishplates into the keyhole slots in the post by inserting, then turning the fishplate 90 degrees.
- Offer the first panel onto the fishplates. Insert a bolt through the top of the rail, through the hole in the fishplate.
- Slide a spacer tube over the bolt, inside the channel and then put the permacone nut on. Do not snap off until you have completed the fence line to your satisfaction.
- The panel will self adjust for the slope on the ground. With one person holding the panel upright, position the posts, with fishplates fitted, in the next hole and offer this to the panel.
- Manoeuvre the post so that you achieve the required line and level, attach the panel using bolts and nuts. Put concrete into the hole around the post and ram well so that the post stands plumb upright on its own, with the weight of the panel on it.
- Continue in this way along the entire fence line.
Note: minor changes in direction, you can slightly deform the fishplate by fixing the panel to the post and adjusting the line as required. The fishplate is designed to bend gently up to about 45 degrees.
For 90 degree changes in direction you should use special corner fishplates. If you don’t have these in your kit, contact 0121 502 6600 and request them.
For all Bow Top and TR300 fences with finials, you must install sag tubes and adjust the panels for zero sag.
